Pulau Tinggi
Nature appreciation in Malaysia
The trip was led by Vincent Chow, a renowned nature conservationist in Johor during July 2002. Pristine beaches, turtles hatching, durians galore, island hopping, snorkelling and angling- Pulau Tinggi was an excellent getaway. The resort has a maritime museum which provides an excellent insight on marine life.
Do use life-jackets when doing fun snorkelling - it may save your life. Sand flies can be a nuisance and can be avoided in the evening with proper attire at the beach. Durian season is a good time for a feast there.
