Celebration of Life
Pulau Sekudu
The tidal flats of Pulau Sekudu lie across the the north-east of Pulau Ubin. The island and its surroundings play an important role in the complex ecosystem of Chek Jawa. The magnificient granite boulders in the centre of the island are nesting sites for bats. A few mangrove trees survive there, overwhelmed by the giant boulders. It is also an important overnight haunt for anglers, day shell collectors and fisherman who lay fish traps - all tapping on the rich and diverse fauna.
